The spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified on Thursday that there are claims of a direct link between the proposed ceasefire in Lebanon and the ceasefire in Gaza.

The ministry confirmed that there is currently no official mediation process for establishing a ceasefire in Lebanon and stated it is unaware of any direct connection between the two ceasefire proposals.

Additionally, the Associated Press (AP) reported, citing a source in Tel Aviv, that “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has given the green light to pursue a potential deal if it includes the return of civilians to their homes.
